Tim Gilbert

Mr. Tim Gilbert is the Collision Repair Technology Instructor at Marshall Technical School. Mr. Gilbert, having an interest in Automobiles as a youth, began his career early; even he didn’t know where his path would lead.

As a Geraldine High School graduate in 1978, his interest in the automotive industry prompted his entrepreneurship abilities and he opened his own collision repair business; for several years he repaired, painted and detailed vehicles for his families living. As his family grew his desire for a career change became evident, he had a longing to teach in the industry.

Mr.Gilbert made a career change in 2006 when he began his journey with Marshall Technical School. He has since received the county teacher of the year awards, he has had many students earn gold medals at SkillsUSA state competitions and medal at National Competitions. He has earned his Bachelors degree in Career Technical Education from Athens State University and certifications in I-CAR-IQW, ASE and is also an Axalta certified refinisher.

Mr. Gilbert is married to Melissa and has three children. He and his family reside in Geraldine. Our school is pleased to have such a wonderful instructor and humble individual teaching students in the collision repair department at Marshall Technical School.
